After a defensive mix-up in New Generation's zone, Dei Manrique stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demesio Solera came out of the goal and Dei Manrique tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Asier Dorado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30thth minute of the game Dei Manrique who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Generation's Demesio Solera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Izar Gorria's Florentino Sánchez got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Maureo Quijana charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maureo Quijana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Izar Gorria:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of New Generation:s goal. Dei Manrique might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Demesio Solera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dei Manrique ran back to his position shaking his head. Demesio Solera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benito Marcilla went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benito Marcilla made a kick off. If Dei Manrique had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dei Manrique couldn't finish the play. Dei Manrique fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demesio Solera having to interfere. Benito Marcilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, New Generation's Demesio Solera got control of the ball when Benito Marcilla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mauro Amorebieta took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aniol Carmona. Aniol Carmona dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. 93 minutes into the game, Salvador Goyanes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Generation's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Izar Gorria the free kick. Dei Manrique sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Izar Gorria's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
