In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ourense CF's goalkeeper Ximen De Paula, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 18 minutes into the game, Ourense CF's Eduino Palencia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laureano Vives made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 21st minute, Feliberto Nieto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ximen De Paula. The goal made the score 1-2. The supporters of Ourense CF booed when Alquezar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Treviño didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laureano Vives stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Huly Benito's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Rutenio Valerón who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Ximen De Paula when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rutenio Valerón struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Ximen De Paula didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alquezar. After 32 played minutes Ourense CF got a freekick which was hit by Diego Toxeiro. Ximen De Paula made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Rutenio Valerón sent off a good shot on target. When Huly Benito came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Ourense CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Huly Benito couldn't finish the play. Laureano Vives showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huly Benito, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliberto Nieto in the 47th minute of play forced Ourense CF's goalkeeper Ximen De Paula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Ourense CF were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Feliberto Nieto made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Huly Benito got free with Laureano Vives in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anxo Domenech charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ourense CF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Alquezar. Alquezar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rutenio Valerón was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feliberto Nieto in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ximen De Paula saved Ourense CF from getting behind. Paco Morado charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
