Toparas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Sandro Urbieta scored to the left of an out of position Rexino Verdeja, making the score, 1-0. If Ibar Morientes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Colsa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute Balesio Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quilo Gimeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Marco Colsa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quilo Gimeno. Oiartzun SD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Colsa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Balesio Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toparas's supporters rose to their feet, but Balesio Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quilo Gimeno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sandro Urbieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rexino Verdeja having to interfere. Marco Colsa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Quilo Gimeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quilo Gimeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Colsa, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The supporters of Toparas booed when Oiartzun SD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Quevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toparas's Ciriaco Zubizarreta couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Oiartzun SD. Quilo Gimeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Colsa in the 47th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Onofre Laredo during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Colsa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Quilo Gimeno was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marco Colsa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 54 minute of play. Balesio Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quilo Gimeno having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Colsa in the 64th minute of play forced Oiartzun SD's goalkeeper Quilo Gimeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Colsa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 69 minutes into the match, Toparas's goal looked a bit too open when Ibar Morientes came free, but Rexino Verdeja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Toparas defense, Sandro Urbieta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rexino Verdeja. The Toparas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rexino Verdeja should have stopped the shot. Toparas's Balesio Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute Marco Colsa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quilo Gimeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Onofre Laredo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Quilo Gimeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Colsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Balesio Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quilo Gimeno having to interfere. Sandro Urbieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ibar Morientes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96th minute, Ibar Morientes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Toparas were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
