In the 5th minute, Filiberto Rivas made a precise shot to the right of Alfredo Dean. Coblanca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some careless play in the San Martin De Hoyos defense, Apal Santalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Crispo Quiroga. The San Martin De Hoyos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Crispo Quiroga should have stopped the shot. After having played for 18 minutes, Paulo Carreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coblanca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Carreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute, Apal Santalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coblanca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Herauso Colsa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Dean having to interfere. Paulo Carreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Crispo Quiroga having to make a save. Paulo Carreira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Paulo Carreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Crispo Quiroga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. San Martin De Hoyos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Apal Santalla scored to the left of an out of position Crispo Quiroga, making the score, 3-1. If Herauso Colsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herauso Colsa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Dean having to interfere. Herauso Colsa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Herauso Colsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. San Martin De Hoyos's Filiberto Rivas got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Dean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herauso Colsa in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herauso Colsa to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Coblanca's goalkeeper Alfredo Dean had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filiberto Rivas. If Paulo Carreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apal Santalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Crispo Quiroga having to interfere. Herauso Colsa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Dean having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herauso Colsa in the 65th minute of play forced Coblanca's goalkeeper Alfredo Dean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apal Santalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Crispo Quiroga having to interfere. Paulo Carreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Herauso Colsa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Dean having to interfere. Filiberto Rivas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Alfredo Dean made a huge save. Crispo Quiroga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Carreira's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Crispo Quiroga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apal Santalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute Paulo Carreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Crispo Quiroga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Martin De Hoyos's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
