Santiago Iglesias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artemio Leyva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, La Estrella Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Iglesias came free, but Artemio Leyva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Puente Mayorga AFC's Leobardo Rivas got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Quico Suarez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Truylos Martínez. Puente Mayorga AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Benvide Montes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Puente Mayorga AFC's Truylos Martínez. Truylos Martínez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manuel Salan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Puente Mayorga AFC's Cristo Caballero got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Orlondo Torres didn't quite understand what happened when in the 34 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 36th minute, Benvide Montes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Truylos Martínez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.

The wind increased when Benvide Montes made the kick off in the second half. Artemio Leyva came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Puente Mayorga AFC's Santiago Iglesias. But to his dismay, Santiago Iglesias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 74thth minute of the game Santiago Iglesias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Estrella Azul's Artemio Leyva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manuel Salan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Salan might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artemio Leyva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Salan ran back to his position shaking his head. Niceto Llorca took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artemio Leyva. Artemio Leyva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. La Estrella Azul's Artemio Leyva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Salan in the 85th minute of play. Puente Mayorga AFC's Truylos Martínez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Puente Mayorga AFC from getting a goal against them. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
