Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fernando Sampil started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético de Madrid's Máximo Odín got a free kick in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sant Antoni's zone, Macabeo Abajas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nofre Leal came out of the goal and Macabeo Abajas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Fernando Sampil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nofre Leal was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Cristián Alfaro's late challenge caught a Sant Antoni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristián Alfaro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sant Antoni booed when Club Atlético de Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristián Alfaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nofre Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Macabeo Abajas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd match minute, Club Atlético de Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristián Alfaro to maneuver through the defense. Pierres Zapatero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Ballesteros having to interfere. Heli Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 39thth minute of the game Fernando Sampil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sant Antoni's Nofre Leal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pierres Zapatero was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Sant Antoni got a freekick which was hit by Ascencio Ramiréz. 56 minutes into the match, Handi Ibanez notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Club Atlético de Madrid's Vladimiro Ballesteros. Vladimiro Ballesteros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vladimiro Ballesteros came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Sant Antoni's Pierres Zapatero. But to his dismay, Pierres Zapatero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 67th match minute, Club Atlético de Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Máximo Odín to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute of the match Toni Barbosa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimiro Ballesteros skillfully saved the ball. When Club Atlético de Madrid's Fernando Sampil in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sant Antoni's goalie prevented a goal. If Fernando Sampil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Sant Antoni's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Macabeo Abajas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 77th minute, one of Sant Antoni:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sant Antoni. The goalkeeper, Nofre Leal, was totally fooled by Club Atlético de Madrid's Julen Galnares, who 78 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 85th minute Fernando Sampil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nofre Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierres Zapatero in the 87th minute of play forced Club Atlético de Madrid's goalkeeper Vladimiro Ballesteros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimiro Ballesteros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierres Zapatero in the 95th minute of play. In the 98th minute Pierres Zapatero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Ballesteros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atlético de Madrid's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
