CE Sabadell's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martín Diez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Chayo Checa struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Mario Rutenio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CE Sabadell. After having played for 21 minutes, Chayo Checa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CE Sabadell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chayo Checa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chayo Checa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martín Diez in the 30th minute of play forced CE Sabadell's goalkeeper Macerio Vega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Chayo Checa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CE Sabadell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chayo Checa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermín Irureta in the 42nd minute of play forced CE Sabadell's goalkeeper Macerio Vega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CE Sabadell's Macerio Vega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martín Diez in the 44th minute of play. After 47 played minutes, Aristu's Erasmo Valcarcel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Macerio Vega came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aristu reached it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martín Diez to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Chayo Checa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mario Rutenio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 61 played minutes, Aristu's Erasmo Valcarcel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Macerio Vega came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aristu reached it. With a little luck, CE Sabadell's Macerio Vega got control of the ball when Fermín Irureta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chayo Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Rutenio having to interfere. Crescencio Vila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Chayo Checa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Crescencio Vila hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Macerio Vega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martín Diez, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Apolinar Prats charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Apolinar Prats the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 85 minutes into the game, one of Aristu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Prudencio Santiago kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Fermín Irureta could shoot a difficult shot in the 97th minute, which Macerio Vega however easily saved by the left post. CE Sabadell's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
