The referee ignored Monteagudo's protests and gave Xulio Macho a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bilbali Lions booed when Monteagudo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xulio Macho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Monteagudo's zone, Sindo Segura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Favila Caminero came out of the goal and Sindo Segura tried to chip the ball over his head. After 75 played minutes Bilbali Lions got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Aballe. The audience was convinced that Sindo Segura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Favila Caminero was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Apolo Aballe might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Favila Caminero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Apolo Aballe ran back to his position shaking his head. Sindo Segura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Samuel Sabina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Bilbali Lions supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Monteagudo's performance. The match ended with a win for Monteagudo.
