The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luis-Antonio Olano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sanson Perpiñán in the 3rd minute. Xano Madariaga's late challenge caught a RCD Mallorca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xano Madariaga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th match minute, Viator was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xano Madariaga to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute of the match Naike Palacios sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ovando Arribas skillfully saved the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Viator's goal looked a bit too open when Romano Baños came free, but Ovando Arribas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romo Quijana hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Romano Baños's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovando Arribas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. After 10 minutes, Lorien Freire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Viator and the RCD Mallorca players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Viator getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Lorien Freire hit a great ball. The supporters of RCD Mallorca booed when Viator was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorien Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Romano Baños shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovando Arribas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Viator was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sanson Perpiñán to maneuver through the defense. Ovando Arribas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romano Baños in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Viator's Cidro Hidalgo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luis-Antonio Olano. Luis-Antonio Olano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Romano Baños had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovando Arribas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romo Quijana in the 36th minute of the match. 1-1 became the score in the 37th minute when Romano Baños elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Macario Salazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 49 played minutes, RCD Mallorca's Naike Palacios shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ovando Arribas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in RCD Mallorca reached it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipe Tobia was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Tobia in the 54th minute of play forced RCD Mallorca's goalkeeper Luis-Antonio Olano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Macario Salazar came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Viator fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Macario Salazar couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Viator. Cidro Hidalgo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luis-Antonio Olano. 2-1. Ovando Arribas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romano Baños, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Viator's Lorien Freire got a free kick in the 80th minute. When RCD Mallorca's Romo Quijana in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Viator's goalie prevented a goal.
