Aureliano Cifuentes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Echavarri in the 21st minute of play. Asteri Castan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliano Cifuentes having to interfere. In the 29th minute Cordarell Ecija shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belisario Benito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Els Brucs booed when Fuerza y Esperanza F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Ekenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santiago Manrique sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aldo Echavarri in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aureliano Cifuentes saved Els Brucs from getting behind. Quintin Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Belisario Benito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Els Brucs's Xerardo Lagunas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dolfos Vacas in the 47 minute of the game. After the first half Fuerza y Esperanza F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aldo Echavarri was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th match minute, Fuerza y Esperanza F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dolfos Vacas to maneuver through the defense. Santiago Manrique fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belisario Benito having to interfere. Vinicio Barba made in the 72nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Els Brucs's Xerardo Lagunas. Fuerza y Esperanza F.C.'s Belisario Benito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordarell Ecija in the 74th minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Cordarell Ecija who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fuerza y Esperanza F.C.'s Belisario Benito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vitin Quesada struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Aureliano Cifuentes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fuerza y Esperanza F.C.. The audience was convinced that Aldo Echavarri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aureliano Cifuentes was relentless in the 87th minute of the game.
