The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Casillas during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Promesas C.F. booed when Santa Cruz De Moncayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Casillas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Virgilio Madariaga notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Santa Cruz De Moncayo's Charro Echeto. Charro Echeto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th minute, Petri Serra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jimeno Pascual. The goal made the score 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anxo Vicente got free with Jimeno Pascual in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anxo Vicente who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Jimeno Pascual when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Promesas C.F.'s Jimeno Pascual proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Promesas C.F. from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute, Petri Serra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Cruz De Moncayo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Petri Serra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Madariaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charro Echeto having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 81st minute, Promesas C.F.'s Virgilio Madariaga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. Petri Serra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimeno Pascual read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Santa Cruz De Moncayo's Petri Serra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jimeno Pascual made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Santa Cruz De Moncayo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Promesas C.F. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
