In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viseo's goalkeeper Rolando Campomanes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Etxatxu Ribas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miro Darroja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celso Jaen hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Viseo's Ivón Puig got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Miro Darroja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lauren Puyol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Rolando Campomanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Miro Darroja notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Almería's Etxatxu Ribas. Etxatxu Ribas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 41st minute, Ivón Puig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Viseo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Miro Darroja in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Etxatxu Ribas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 75 minutes of play, Viseo's Miro Darroja made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Etxatxu Ribas was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Miro Darroja came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Viseo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miro Darroja couldn't finish the play. Almería's Etxatxu Ribas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Almería from getting a goal against them. Lauren Puyol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Campomanes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Rolando Campomanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rio Dorado, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Viseo's supporters rose to their feet, but Miro Darroja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Etxatxu Ribas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Viseo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
