Ezker Cerreri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Melchor Molina went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the match, Isauro Canal notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of San Fernando CD's Lordi Herrera. Lordi Herrera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice moves Melchor Molina could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Ezker Cerreri however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lastur Cuervas in the 46th minute of play forced UD. San Andres's goalkeeper Ezker Cerreri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ezker Cerreri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beremundo Vadillos in the 61st minute of the match. Ezker Cerreri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lastur Cuervas in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, San Fernando CD's Tonni Gaarding got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 67 played minutes, UD. San Andres's Chus Jareño shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lordi Herrera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UD. San Andres reached it. Ezker Cerreri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Molina in the 68th minute of play. Beremundo Vadillos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The San Fernando CD fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when San Fernando CD's Melchor Molina looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ezker Cerreri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Molina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the UD. San Andres defense, Lastur Cuervas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ezker Cerreri. The UD. San Andres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ezker Cerreri should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The San Fernando CD fans cheered their team off the field, for while UD. San Andres had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
