Omar Sobera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pietro Lermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haimar Ibanez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Macia in the 8th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Urteta got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Harroyo. When Pietro Lermo came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Els Guiamets fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pietro Lermo couldn't finish the play. Nicanor Casillas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pietro Lermo in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Omar Sobera saved Urteta from getting behind. When Romualdo Zubiaga fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Els Guiamets's protests and gave Romualdo Zubiaga a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Urteta booed when Els Guiamets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romualdo Zubiaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Romualdo Zubiaga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Omar Sobera. The goal made the score 1-0. Pietro Lermo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Omar Sobera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Nicanor Casillas put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Omar Sobera. 42 minutes into the game, Walme Maroto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Urteta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Els Guiamets the free kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pietro Lermo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Urteta getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Frutos Barba hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Urteta fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! 85 minutes into the game, Mariano Harroyo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Els Guiamets walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
