Linares's Rubén Lama proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Linares from getting a goal against them. Rubén Lama came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Valles del Esla F.C.'s José Obis. But to his dismay, José Obis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 17th minute Blasco Peña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Roig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ponc Lopez in the 18th minute of play forced Linares's goalkeeper Rubén Lama to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lano Castillo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Rubén Lama made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ponc Lopez in the 21st minute of play. José Obis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Rubén Lama tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Ponc Lopez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rubén Lama, passed just outside the right post. If José Obis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

José Obis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubén Lama having to interfere. Rubén Lama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Obis in the 66th minute of the match. Ponc Lopez charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ponc Lopez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th match minute, Valles del Esla F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ponc Lopez to maneuver through the defense. Honorio Portillo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. José Obis scored 3-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rubén Lama, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Valles del Esla F.C.'s José Obis got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute Ponc Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubén Lama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Valles del Esla F.C. fully deserved thier win.
