In the 16th minute Carlos Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan-Luis Viqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, La parroquia CF's goalkeeper Juan-Luis Viqueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ermegildo Canyelles. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reynaldo Vila during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Ermegildo Canyelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mergildo Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 minutes of play, CD Buñol's Ermegildo Canyelles made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan-Luis Viqueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the match, La parroquia CF's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Canyelles came free, but Juan-Luis Viqueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, David Fernandez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Canor Baños was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Canor Baños showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mergildo Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Mergildo Leal struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Canor Baños didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La parroquia CF. The referee felt a red card was in order, 97 minutes into the game, when Isandro Garate put in a rough tackle. Canor Baños went to the wrong direction when Alberto De la Torre was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.
