After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Guillermo Abril managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banyoles's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Abril was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Txema Contratas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Nel Olmos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Israel Sarro made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Ivan Gelacio sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd match minute, Banyoles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cortez Camino to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Xosepin Lopez de Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Sarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nel Olmos in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Txema Contratas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Zhartax CF's zone, Xepe Marquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Txema Contratas came out of the goal and Xepe Marquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 32 played minutes Banyoles got a freekick which was hit by Cortez Camino. Zhartax CF's Xosepin Lopez de Toro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Israel Sarro but with some difficulty. Omero Puyol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Txema Contratas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Banyoles's Xepe Marquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Txema Contratas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Zhartax CF's Txema Contratas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Zhartax CF from getting a goal against them. Xepe Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Txema Contratas having to interfere.
