New Team's Gilberto Urbieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Campos in the 4th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Roda De Ter FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Etxahun Silvestre to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Roda De Ter FC's zone, Montay Mora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabri Elias came out of the goal and Montay Mora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of New Team booed when Roda De Ter FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Feria didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in New Team's zone, Haroldo Campos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Urbieta came out of the goal and Haroldo Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30 minutes, Berriotxoa Munoz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Team and the Roda De Ter FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, New Team's Berriotxoa Munoz got a free kick in the 30th minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Montay Mora took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Gabri Elias to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Montay Mora managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Montay Mora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabri Elias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabri Elias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Cuevas in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Haroldo Campos made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind New Team's goalkeeper Gilberto Urbieta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Montay Mora in the 64th minute of play forced Roda De Ter FC's goalkeeper Gabri Elias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Heriberto Abrego was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roda De Ter FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Team the free kick. Heriberto Abrego hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Gabri Elias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Aureliano Cuevas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Gabri Elias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Aureliano Cuevas put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gabri Elias. Ubarna Pacheco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Urbieta having to interfere. Gabri Elias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Montay Mora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Roda De Ter FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliano Cuevas came free, but Gabri Elias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Urbieta made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Ubarna Pacheco sent off a good shot on target.
