In the 5th minute, Iker Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ferran Rico hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Iratze Candamil made in the 10th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by HG F.c's Pepe Teresa. Andolin Saura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boniel Clos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Iker Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Los kyes's Iker Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mohamed Helguera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. HG F.c were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Los kyes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alvaro Viqueira took the corner. After taking down the ball on HG F.c's corner Alvaro Viqueira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Andolin Saura quite easily take care of the ball. Garikoitz Carballido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferran Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andolin Saura having to interfere. Mohamed Helguera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iker Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th match minute, HG F.c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferran Rico to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Rodrigo Bargas put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mohamed Helguera. After a rather tough play, HG F.c's Ferran Rico got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The supporters of HG F.c booed when Los kyes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iratze Candamil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iker Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Mohamed Helguera made a huge save. Rodrigo Bargas struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Mohamed Helguera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los kyes. Mohamed Helguera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Bargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, HG F.c's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Bargas came free, but Mohamed Helguera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
