After 4 played minutes Muntanyola CD got a freekick which was hit by Midas Abancens. After having played for 5 minutes, Hector Morales managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atl.Benejúzar Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Morales was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 7th minute of the match Robustiano Companys shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silviano Jareño showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Silviano Jareño made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Cruz Soler sent off a good shot on target. Gartzea Quintanilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cosme Quintas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cruz Soler's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Silviano Jareño firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Cruz Soler fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muntanyola CD's protests and gave Cruz Soler a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Atl.Benejúzar Fútbol Club booed when Muntanyola CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cruz Soler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Gartzea Quintanilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Quintas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Muntanyola CD's Pau Companys got a free kick in the 29th minute. After 32 minutes, Hector Morales mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atl.Benejúzar Fútbol Club and the Muntanyola CD players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Atl.Benejúzar Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Hector Morales hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Atl.Benejúzar Fútbol Club's zone, Fiz Gonzalez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silviano Jareño came out of the goal and Fiz Gonzalez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pau Companys kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Gartzea Quintanilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Quintas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Manos Saraliotis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atl.Benejúzar Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manos Saraliotis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gartzea Quintanilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pello Jareño was the one to do the kick off. Silviano Jareño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pello Jareño, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Claris Gala kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Muntanyola CD's goalkeeper Cosme Quintas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gartzea Quintanilla. Gartzea Quintanilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Cosme Quintas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atl.Benejúzar Fútbol Club were furious when Prudencio Baeza was red carded, 71 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atl.Benejúzar Fútbol Club! In the 77th minute Pau Companys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviano Jareño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Muntanyola CD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pau Companys to maneuver through the defense. Manos Saraliotis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Pau Companys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Morales could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Cosme Quintas made a huge save. When Manos Saraliotis came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Atl.Benejúzar Fútbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manos Saraliotis couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, Gregorio Diaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silviano Jareño. Atl.Benejúzar Fútbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregorio Diaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Atl.Benejúzar Fútbol Club's Silviano Jareño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pello Jareño in the 93rd minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Muntanyola CD could leave the field as winners, despite Atl.Benejúzar Fútbol Club having more of the ball for most of the match.
