The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Muntanyola CD's Pau Companys got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Muntanyola CD's goalkeeper Cosme Quintas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Midas Abancens hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After 26 minutes of play, El Granel's William Sabina made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cosme Quintas was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Muntanyola CD booed when El Granel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lalla Macia didn't get a good kick on the ball. William Sabina struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Cosme Quintas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Granel. Cosme Quintas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of William Sabina's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Cayo Canturri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Quintas having to interfere. The referee gave El Granel a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cayo Canturri, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Muntanyola CD's Cosme Quintas. 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pello Jareño to make the kick off. Mugur Bolborici could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Cosme Quintas made a huge save. In the 56th minute Pello Jareño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Rapado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Muntanyola CD's Cosme Quintas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Maroto in the 57th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Cruz Soler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muntanyola CD's supporters rose to their feet, but Cruz Soler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delmiro Rapado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute, Pau Companys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claris Gala kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Cosme Quintas was a little too slow when William Sabina got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute.
