Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antxo Abad started the match with the kick off. When Antxo Abad fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Erandio SAD's protests and gave Antxo Abad a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Escane booed when Erandio SAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antxo Abad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florencio Acedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quintin Mata in the 9th minute of play. Americo Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute, Quintin Mata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Americo Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Acedo having to interfere. Americo Vidal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Florencio Acedo made a huge save. Lazcano Marcos hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hondo Ruiz in the 31st minute of play forced Erandio SAD's goalkeeper Florencio Acedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Americo Vidal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florencio Acedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Erandio SAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sofronio Muelas to maneuver through the defense. Erandio SAD's Florencio Acedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Erandio SAD from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute, Quintin Mata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Escane's Americo Vidal got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the game, Pablo Noya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Escane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Erandio SAD the free kick. In the 44th minute, Pablo Noya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antxo Abad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erandio SAD's Florencio Acedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quintin Mata in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quintin Mata to make the kick off. Americo Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Florencio Acedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quintin Mata in the 60th minute of play forced Erandio SAD's goalkeeper Florencio Acedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Americo Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escane's supporters rose to their feet, but Americo Vidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florencio Acedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Quintin Mata came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Escane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quintin Mata couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Erandio SAD's goalkeeper Florencio Acedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Americo Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Florencio Acedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Erandio SAD's goal looked a bit too open when Quintin Mata came free, but Florencio Acedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geofredo Colsa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Florencio Acedo. Erandio SAD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sol Arenas's late challenge caught a Escane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sol Arenas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, Erandio SAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sol Arenas to maneuver through the defense. If Quintin Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 83 minutes, Americo Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Americo Vidal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Erandio SAD's zone, Quintin Mata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florencio Acedo came out of the goal and Quintin Mata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Antxo Abad got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
