Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Oxel Gonzalez kicked off to start the match. Juan-Carlos Cuevas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oxel Gonzalez, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The audience was convinced that Garaile Casado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan-Carlos Cuevas was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Moncho Barrios's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Leandro Casas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 16 minutes into the match, Ezquerococha's goal looked a bit too open when Oxel Gonzalez came free, but Juan-Carlos Cuevas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Garaile Casado in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan-Carlos Cuevas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Michel Cabada fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mar Azul's protests and gave Michel Cabada a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th match minute, Mar Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Cabada to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Mar Azul's Leandro Casas got control of the ball when Moncho Barrios tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute, Blai Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 1-0 became the score in the 35th minute when Blai Bueno elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Juan-Carlos Cuevas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garaile Casado in the 40th minute of play. In the 42ndth minute of the game Oxel Gonzalez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ezquerococha's Juan-Carlos Cuevas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Garaile Casado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Juan-Carlos Cuevas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Blai Bueno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ezquerococha booed when Mar Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vaden Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Ezquerococha's Baiardo Hevia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Loreto Gimenez hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Leandro Casas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moncho Barrios in the 64th minute of play. Juan-Carlos Cuevas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oxel Gonzalez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75thth minute of the game Oxel Gonzalez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ezquerococha's Juan-Carlos Cuevas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oxel Gonzalez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 79th minute Oxel Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan-Carlos Cuevas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moncho Barrios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Ezquerococha getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Urtsua Espinosa hit a great ball. Leandro Casas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blai Bueno in the 87th minute of the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Garaile Casado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mar Azul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garaile Casado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juan-Carlos Cuevas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oxel Gonzalez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ezquerococha fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mar Azul had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
