Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Marines Viejo's Luis-Alfredo Sampil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antolin Bartumeu in the 9th minute of play. Puerto De La Cruz's Cresitobalo Antunez got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurino Alcalde kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Anxo Pantoja sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Puerto De La Cruz's Natxo De la Torre didn't even have to move. 16 minutes into the match, Marines Viejo's Veto Japón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Natxo De la Torre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Cresitobalo Antunez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute Antolin Bartumeu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis-Alfredo Sampil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Puerto De La Cruz's Natxo De la Torre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aiert Baeza in the 31st minute of play. After 31 played minutes Puerto De La Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Etor Castro. Natxo De la Torre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aiert Baeza in the 32nd minute of play. When Veto Japón came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Marines Viejo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Veto Japón couldn't finish the play. Luis-Alfredo Sampil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antolin Bartumeu, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute, Antolin Bartumeu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antolin Bartumeu in the 47th minute of play forced Marines Viejo's goalkeeper Luis-Alfredo Sampil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cresitobalo Antunez's late challenge caught a Marines Viejo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cresitobalo Antunez helped the player get up and apologised. Cresitobalo Antunez kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antolin Bartumeu to make the kick off. Luis-Alfredo Sampil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antolin Bartumeu in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute Antolin Bartumeu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis-Alfredo Sampil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis-Alfredo Sampil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Antolin Bartumeu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Nabar Rivas fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marines Viejo's protests and gave Nabar Rivas a yellow card for diving instead. Abelardo Freire hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Felix Etxeberria, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Puerto De La Cruz's Antolin Bartumeu got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Veto Japón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis-Alfredo Sampil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antolin Bartumeu in the 91st minute of play. If Cresitobalo Antunez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antolin Bartumeu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Luis-Alfredo Sampil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Puerto De La Cruz had played much better football throughout.
