FC ESPAÑA's Aya Lastras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chano Calatayud in the 9th minute of play. Enrico Lorenzo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan-Carlos Pabon having to make a save. The supporters of FC ESPAÑA booed when Castiñeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chano Calatayud didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd match minute, FC ESPAÑA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cerilo Figueres to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Castiñeira booed when FC ESPAÑA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alifonso Llorente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Castiñeira were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after FC ESPAÑA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ceandro Rico took the corner. The corner ended in Ceandro Rico almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC ESPAÑA's Aya Lastras did a great save. In the 29th minute of the match Xelo Coello shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aya Lastras showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Chano Calatayud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan-Carlos Pabon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolo Sobrado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Chano Calatayud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arxel Bouzon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Benedicto De Pedro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benedicto De Pedro made a kick off. Aya Lastras made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Chano Calatayud sent off a good shot on target. Benedicto De Pedro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aya Lastras came out and tried to block the shot, but Benedicto De Pedro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 56th minute. After having played for 59 minutes, Chano Calatayud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castiñeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chano Calatayud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute Benedicto De Pedro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aya Lastras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan-Carlos Pabon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrico Lorenzo in the 72nd minute of the match. Bartolo Sobrado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Juan-Carlos Pabon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Chano Calatayud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, FC ESPAÑA's Enrico Lorenzo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan-Carlos Pabon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartolo Sobrado in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan-Carlos Pabon saved Castiñeira from getting behind. Chano Calatayud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bartolo Sobrado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Benedicto De Pedro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aya Lastras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
