If Silvano Sabina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvano Sabina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liberto Darroja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yader Hevia in the 12th minute. Quentin Esperta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Durango having to interfere. Iñigo Aguado's late challenge caught a Godons's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iñigo Aguado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, Iñigo Aguado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 19 minutes, Yader Hevia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Godons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yader Hevia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Quentin Esperta struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Santiago Durango didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Las Peñicas. Santiago Durango stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvano Sabina's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Quentin Esperta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Durango having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Guillermo Domenech hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 played minutes Godons got a freekick which was hit by Hanot Cambero. Asteri Ferrer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Liberto Darroja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Godons:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Las Peñicas:s goal. Silvano Sabina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes in the game, Romulo Ramis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Santiago Durango having to interfere. Quentin Esperta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Santiago Durango skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Las Peñicas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
