Bitxintxo Rey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Ecija in the 11th minute of the match. If Isaias Ecija had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 21st minute of the match, Rencio Arribas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bitxintxo Rey was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Isaias Ecija blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bitxintxo Rey having to make a save. In the 24th minute, Isaias Ecija got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute, Timo Sánchez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th match minute, Borrastre UD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by García Dellasierra to maneuver through the defense. Marquez Ortega struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Vincente Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steaua de Grifo. Vincente Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquez Ortega, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Isaias Ecija had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Bitxintxo Rey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Ecija, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Rencio Arribas struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Bitxintxo Rey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borrastre UD. Bitxintxo Rey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Ecija, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Montes Canyelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Ecija in the 66th minute of play forced Steaua de Grifo's goalkeeper Bitxintxo Rey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rencio Arribas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Bitxintxo Rey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marquez Ortega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincente Pena having to interfere. Rencio Arribas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bitxintxo Rey having to make a save. In the 86th match minute, Steaua de Grifo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cayo Marquez to maneuver through the defense. If Timo Sánchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Borrastre UD booed when Steaua de Grifo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germán March didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes, Borrastre UD's Manolo Alcantara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bitxintxo Rey came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Borrastre UD reached it. The Borrastre UD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Steaua de Grifo's performance. The match ended with a win for Steaua de Grifo.
