The referee ignored DEPORTIVA SANGUESINA's protests and gave Cruz Moya a yellow card for diving instead. Porfiro Sánchez was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Roberto Fabelos short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Luis Velazquez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gorka Iniesta charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The coaching staff of C.E Altafulla protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Eliseo santillana had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 37 minutes into the game, one of C.E Altafulla:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 40th minute there was a penalty for DEPORTIVA SANGUESINA. Cambranes Castillo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Üllo Eenmäe. 0-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chano Molina was the one to do the kick off.
