The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Iosu Radaban's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodas Nobo was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Pano SAD's Iosu Radaban got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fidel Valverde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Rodas Nobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gartzen Cabezas in the 14th minute of play forced Pano SAD's goalkeeper Cornelio Harroyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ioseba Arraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Harroyo having to interfere. Rodas Nobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iosu Radaban, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Ioseba Arraz came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cornelio Harroyo could save by the left post. Gartzen Cabezas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Harroyo having to interfere. Cornelio Harroyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gartzen Cabezas, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Ioseba Arraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Podrida's supporters rose to their feet, but Ioseba Arraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Harroyo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodas Nobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Valverde in the 39th minute of play. Cecilio Morado charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cecilio Morado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cecilio Morado hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Rodas Nobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iosu Radaban in the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Pano SAD booed when Podrida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bautista Rapado didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Iosu Radaban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodas Nobo. Podrida's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iosu Radaban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gartzen Cabezas to strike the kick off in the second half. When Fidel Valverde came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Pano SAD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Valverde couldn't finish the play. In the 55th match minute, Pano SAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maureo Morera to maneuver through the defense. Iosu Radaban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Rodas Nobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iosu Radaban in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodas Nobo saved Podrida from getting behind. Podrida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gartzen Cabezas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute, Gartzen Cabezas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cornelio Harroyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ioseba Arraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
