When Fermín Mata fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sant Cugat Sesgarriges CD's protests and gave Fermín Mata a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Sant Cugat Sesgarriges CD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of F.C. LYONS:s goal. Cebo Clemente walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When William Treviño came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the F.C. LYONS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Treviño couldn't finish the play. Leocadio Castelao in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vidal Casado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 21st minute William Treviño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vidal Casado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. F.C. LYONS's William Treviño was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 22nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. LYONS's zone, Aketza Camara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilio Moreno came out of the goal and Aketza Camara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leocadio Castelao could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Vidal Casado made a huge save. Leocadio Castelao's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Vidal Casado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 37th minute, William Treviño got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sant Cugat Sesgarriges CD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when William Treviño scored to the left of an out of position Vidal Casado, making the score, 3-0. After having played for 44 minutes, Leocadio Castelao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. LYONS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leocadio Castelao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 47 played minutes Sant Cugat Sesgarriges CD got a freekick which was hit by Quinito Contratas. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when William Treviño made the kick off in the second half. Atilio Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Peña, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Leocadio Castelao came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the F.C. LYONS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leocadio Castelao couldn't finish the play. Vidal Casado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leocadio Castelao in the 58th minute of the match. Aketza Camara came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Atilio Moreno could save by the left post. Leocadio Castelao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Treviño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Vidal Casado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heli Herrero hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. F.C. LYONS's William Treviño got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Llanos Urruti hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. A collision led to Sant Cugat Sesgarriges CD getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ilixo Ledo hit a great ball. Vidal Casado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Treviño, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Leocadio Castelao managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. LYONS's supporters rose to their feet, but Leocadio Castelao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vidal Casado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Sant Cugat Sesgarriges CD's zone, Leocadio Castelao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vidal Casado came out of the goal and Leocadio Castelao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 88 played minutes Sant Cugat Sesgarriges CD got a freekick which was hit by Pirro Gasso. William Treviño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 95 minutes, Pirro Gasso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sant Cugat Sesgarriges CD and the F.C. LYONS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sant Cugat Sesgarriges CD getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Pirro Gasso hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leocadio Castelao in the 98th minute of play forced Sant Cugat Sesgarriges CD's goalkeeper Vidal Casado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
