Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) F.C. LYONS's William Treviño started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leocadio Castelao in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Serafín Canyelles, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. F.C. LYONS's Atilio Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Figueroa in the 7th minute of play. If William Treviño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Leocadio Castelao came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the F.C. LYONS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leocadio Castelao couldn't finish the play. If William Treviño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. LYONS's goalkeeper Atilio Moreno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guillermo Figueroa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilio Moreno having to interfere. Atilio Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Figueroa, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the game, William Treviño recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Serafín Canyelles. William Treviño showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, F.C. LYONS's Heli Herrero got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Jose-Juan Pardo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Atilio Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Figueroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dani Torrente fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. LYONS's protests and gave Dani Torrente a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes F.C. LYONS got a freekick which was hit by Dani Torrente. Aita Canosa took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Atilio Moreno. Atilio Moreno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guillermo Figueroa in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atilio Moreno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aita Canosa made a kick off. Serafín Canyelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leocadio Castelao in the 54th minute of play. William Treviño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafín Canyelles having to interfere. Hoz De Anero's Serafín Canyelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Treviño in the 60th minute of play. If Leocadio Castelao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. William Treviño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafín Canyelles having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Hoz De Anero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alifonso Sabina to maneuver through the defense. William Treviño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Serafín Canyelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillermo Figueroa got free with Atilio Moreno in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leocadio Castelao scored 2-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serafín Canyelles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 83rdth minute of the game William Treviño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hoz De Anero's Serafín Canyelles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hoz De Anero's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cebo Clemente was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C. LYONS's players had a chance to rest. The corner led F.C. LYONS's Cebo Clemente to fire away a dangerous shot which Serafín Canyelles despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. William Treviño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafín Canyelles having to interfere. After having played for 88 minutes, Leocadio Castelao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. LYONS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leocadio Castelao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The F.C. LYONS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hoz De Anero had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
