Serraduy Del Pon's Taurino Izquierdo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almarín Carrasco in the 4th minute of play. Serraduy Del Pon's Pablo-Enrique Echavarri got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Almarín Carrasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taurino Izquierdo having to interfere. When REAL RSV's Almarín Carrasco in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Serraduy Del Pon's goalie prevented a goal. Guifre Bermejo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Taurino Izquierdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Urquijo in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match REAL RSV got a corner. Serraduy Del Pon's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mesut Özil ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 28th minute, Gilberto Urquijo made a precise shot to the right of Taurino Izquierdo. Serraduy Del Pon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 31st minute Gilberto Urquijo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taurino Izquierdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, REAL RSV's goal looked a bit too open when Isaio Verdaguer came free, but Pablo-Enrique Bernal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Urquijo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Taurino Izquierdo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of REAL RSV booed when Serraduy Del Pon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guifre Bermejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Taurino Izquierdo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almarín Carrasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute Gilberto Urquijo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taurino Izquierdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Urquijo in the 45th minute of play forced Serraduy Del Pon's goalkeeper Taurino Izquierdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isaio Verdaguer made a kick off. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Serraduy Del Pon's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mesut Özil was slow to take the kick. During this time REAL RSV's players had a chance to rest. Almarín Carrasco struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Taurino Izquierdo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for REAL RSV. If Gilberto Urquijo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Almarín Carrasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. REAL RSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Almarín Carrasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Taurino Izquierdo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilberto Urquijo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taurino Izquierdo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Serraduy Del Pon's zone, Almarín Carrasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taurino Izquierdo came out of the goal and Almarín Carrasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Taurino Izquierdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almarín Carrasco in the 80th minute of play. When Frederik Lembeck came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the REAL RSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederik Lembeck couldn't finish the play. Taurino Izquierdo made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Gilberto Urquijo sent off a good shot on target. Taurino Izquierdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almarín Carrasco in the 86th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Almarín Carrasco in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Taurino Izquierdo saved Serraduy Del Pon from getting behind. REAL RSV's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
