Ibon Alcaraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leocadio Solera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moisés Abajas struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Ibon Alcaraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valls United. 12 minutes into the match, Valls United's goal looked a bit too open when Jusepe Aballe came free, but Aritz Amorebieta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ibon Alcaraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leocadio Solera in the 14th minute of play. After 16 minutes, Jusepe Aballe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zabala FC and the Valls United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes Zabala FC got a freekick which was hit by Jusepe Aballe. Ibon Alcaraz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leocadio Solera's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Aritz Amorebieta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jusepe Aballe's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Valls United's Aritz Amorebieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jusepe Aballe in the 29th minute of play. Benja Baltanas's late challenge caught a Zabala FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benja Baltanas helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 32 minutes, Zabala FC's Kevin Vallejo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aritz Amorebieta. Ibon Alcaraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leocadio Solera in the 36th minute of play. After 43 played minutes Zabala FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Toxeiro. Valls United's Moisés Abajas got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leocadio Solera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibon Alcaraz having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Ibon Alcaraz was a little too slow when Moisés Abajas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 1-2. After having played for 65 minutes, Leocadio Solera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valls United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leocadio Solera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Zabala FC's Jusepe Aballe, in the 72nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Zabala FC. Moisés Abajas might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ibon Alcaraz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moisés Abajas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zabala FC's goalkeeper Ibon Alcaraz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Leocadio Solera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saturnino Garay kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Moisés Abajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gelmiro Erosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Aritz Amorebieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gelmiro Erosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Valls United defense, Gelmiro Erosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aritz Amorebieta. The Valls United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aritz Amorebieta should have stopped the shot. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
