The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Guns's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Ponce came free, but Quinito Lacorte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Rio Novo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Guns's zone, Kevin Ponce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quinito Lacorte came out of the goal and Kevin Ponce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kevin Ponce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quinito Lacorte having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Quirze Diez made a precise shot to the right of Quinito Lacorte. Guns's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 23rd match minute, Casa De Las Cauques was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nesto Garay to maneuver through the defense. Guns's Santiago Garate got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago Garate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zelipe Uria having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Kevin Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quinito Lacorte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quirze Diez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quinito Lacorte having to interfere. Jakes Solana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Zelipe Uria made a huge save. 46 minutes into the match, Casa De Las Cauques's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Garate came free, but Zelipe Uria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Casa De Las Cauques were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Quirze Diez in the 52nd minute of play forced Guns's goalkeeper Quinito Lacorte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eleodoro Casero fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Casa De Las Cauques's protests and gave Eleodoro Casero a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Casa De Las Cauques's Eleodoro Casero got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Santiago Garate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Ponce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Casa De Las Cauques's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roberto Mudarra was slow to take the kick. During this time Guns's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Roberto Mudarra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zelipe Uria quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Casa De Las Cauques's Eleodoro Casero got a free kick in the 79th minute. Zelipe Uria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakes Solana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zelipe Uria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakes Solana in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Fero Vicente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Quirze Diez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilio Unzueta walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Casa De Las Cauques had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
