Step by Step's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Negro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Bajo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the match, Xosepin Irureta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emiliano Bajo, 1-0. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Benedicto was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Malaga.c.f.'s zone, Rodolfo Negro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Bajo came out of the goal and Rodolfo Negro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Rodolfo Negro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xosepin Irureta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Malaga.c.f. defense, Rodolfo Negro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Bajo. The Malaga.c.f. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Bajo should have stopped the shot. Step by Step walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
