After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Cilio Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albacete Balompié's supporters rose to their feet, but Cilio Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Modesto Verges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute, Apoena Gabas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute of the match Albano Tobias shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Modesto Verges showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Anastasio Gala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Albacete Balompié's Modesto Verges threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Landolfo Vives, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Anastasio Gala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alba Turrilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Gala in the 40th minute of the match. If Cilio Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 51 played minutes Atlético de Sagunto got a freekick which was hit by Apoena Gabas. Cilio Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Modesto Verges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Atlético de Sagunto's goal looked a bit too open when Cilio Silva came free, but Modesto Verges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59thth minute of the game Germán Orozco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético de Sagunto's Modesto Verges was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Germán Orozco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Modesto Verges was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alba Turrilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aire Ramis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Atlético de Sagunto booed when Albacete Balompié was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Landolfo Vives didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Albacete Balompié's Germán Orozco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Modesto Verges narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Apoena Gabas got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Atlético de Sagunto's Apoena Gabas got a free kick in the 70th minute. Modesto Verges came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Albacete Balompié's Germán Orozco. But to his dismay, Germán Orozco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Modesto Verges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cilio Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Modesto Verges stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cilio Silva's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Germán Orozco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Modesto Verges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Modesto Verges came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Albacete Balompié's Cilio Silva. But to his dismay, Cilio Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The audience was convinced that Cilio Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Modesto Verges was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Cilio Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Verges having to interfere. Atlético de Sagunto's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
