In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montilla's goalkeeper Juanfran Merino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Montilla's zone, Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juanfran Merino came out of the goal and Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes into the match, Montilla's goalkeeper Juanfran Merino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa. Felipillo Idiaquez's late challenge caught a Buñales UD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipillo Idiaquez helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes Montilla got a freekick which was hit by Felipillo Idiaquez. After 15 minutes, Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Montilla's Juanfran Merino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 19 minutes into the match, Buñales UD's Roger Buenafuente sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juanfran Merino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Buñales UD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa got free with Juanfran Merino in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roger Buenafuente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juanfran Merino having to make a save. A collision led to Montilla getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sebastián Santiago hit a great ball. Antxoka Huerta was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Juanfran Merino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Roger Buenafuente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute, Montilla's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nabar Casillas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roger Buenafuente made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Buñales UD's goal looked a bit too open when Mon Cabanela came free, but Rami Casta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 63rd minute Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juanfran Merino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Buñales UD fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Buñales UD's Roger Buenafuente looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juanfran Merino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juanfran Merino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Buenafuente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Felipillo Idiaquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juanfran Merino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Buenafuente, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Roger Buenafuente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Juanfran Merino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92ndth minute of the game Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montilla's Juanfran Merino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luis-Alfredo Pedrosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Buñales UD's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
