Urtsua Mayol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rafael Huguet came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Real Sociedad F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Huguet couldn't finish the play. Tello Olmedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Rivera in the 31st minute of play forced Real Sociedad F.C's goalkeeper Hanot Mera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregorio Rivera in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hanot Mera saved Real Sociedad F.C from getting behind. In the 56th minute, Euloxu Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hanot Mera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Rivera, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Gaizka Rua kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When Urtsua Mayol came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Real Sociedad F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urtsua Mayol couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sartajada walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
