Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sartajada's Gregorio Rivera started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Abarzuza's Xanti Palomar in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sartajada's goalie prevented a goal. Jonas Naranjo made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Joey Quintanilla sent off a good shot on target. Sartajada's Micael Barro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iratxo Quintana in the 8th minute of play. If Iratxo Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xanti Palomar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gaizka Rua fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sartajada's protests and gave Gaizka Rua a yellow card for diving instead. Blasco Morcego took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Micael Barro. Sartajada's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gaizka Rua was shown his second yellow card after 21 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 21st minute, Gaizka Rua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Micael Barro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iratxo Quintana in the 27th minute of the match. Sartajada's Micael Barro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xanti Palomar in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Abarzuza's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joey Quintanilla fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 30th minute, Ximun Aguilar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 36 minutes of play, Sartajada's Joey Quintanilla made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonas Naranjo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Xanti Palomar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joey Quintanilla struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Jonas Naranjo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sartajada. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The wind increased when Iratxo Quintana made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Abarzuza's goalkeeper Jonas Naranjo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Joey Quintanilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sartajada's supporters rose to their feet, but Joey Quintanilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Naranjo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd minute Ximun Aguilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Naranjo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joey Quintanilla struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Jonas Naranjo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sartajada. Ximun Aguilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th match minute, Abarzuza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Galsino Campello to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iratxo Quintana in the 79th minute of play forced Sartajada's goalkeeper Micael Barro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joey Quintanilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Naranjo having to interfere. The supporters of Sartajada booed when Abarzuza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gamus Gandia didn't get a good kick on the ball.
