Pinol CF's Crispo Montaña shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 15th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Gení Montiel but with some difficulty. In the 16th minute of the match Bardo Barbosa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gení Montiel skillfully saved the ball. When Pablo Sarro came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Pinol CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Sarro couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Pablo Sarro put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gení Montiel. Ramone Madariaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gení Montiel having to interfere. Pablo Sarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Gení Montiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Vilma United CF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ramone Madariaga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pablo Sarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ariando Pacheco's late challenge caught a Vilma United CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ariando Pacheco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Ariando Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gení Montiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Sarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Abad took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gení Montiel. Vilma United CF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Pinol CF booed when Vilma United CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Vilanova didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Paulo Vilanova was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vilma United CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinol CF the free kick. In the 86th minute Pablo Sarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gení Montiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pinol CF's Pablo Sarro got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 97 minutes into the match, Vilma United CF's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Sarro came free, but Gení Montiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
