The referee ignored Horcajo De La Sierra CF's protests and gave Esteve Gandia a yellow card for diving instead. Esteve Gandia hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Horcajo De La Sierra CF's Ibar Gene threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Efren Zafrilla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lauro Pena took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ibar Gene. Ibar Gene dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ibar Gene didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lauro Pena went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 23 played minutes San Esteban AFC got a freekick which was hit by Xusto Fuentes. In the 24th minute, Federico Etxeberria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32ndth minute of the game Iñaki Vagrande who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Horcajo De La Sierra CF's Reynaldo Olmos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in San Esteban AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Ibar Gene had in the 37thth minute some difficulties stopping Casimiro Santander's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Casimiro Santander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ibar Gene. San Esteban AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Casimiro Santander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Ibar Gene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efren Zafrilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lauro Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Efren Zafrilla in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ibar Gene prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Efren Zafrilla made a kick off. In the 54th minute Lauro Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ibar Gene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xusto Fuentes hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56thth minute of the game Lauro Pena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Esteban AFC's Ibar Gene was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reynaldo Olmos made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Raymundo Morera sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th match minute, San Esteban AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antoni Valdivia to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Casimiro Santander in the 61st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Ibar Gene's left hand side. Jerrold Benítez's late challenge caught a Horcajo De La Sierra CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerrold Benítez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, San Esteban AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerrold Benítez to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute of the match Casimiro Santander shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ibar Gene showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 69th minute Horcajo De La Sierra CF were awarded a corner. Casimiro Santander went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Lauro Pena heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Reynaldo Olmos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iñaki Vagrande, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 79 minutes into the game, Castel Iniesta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Esteban AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Horcajo De La Sierra CF the free kick. The supporters of Horcajo De La Sierra CF booed when San Esteban AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Castel Iniesta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lauro Pena took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ibar Gene. Ibar Gene dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Ibar Gene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauro Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Horcajo De La Sierra CF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
