Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 54th minute, Luar Valerón got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabio Parra might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Typhon Rodriguez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabio Parra ran back to his position shaking his head. 65 minutes into the match, Sporting's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Unzueta came free, but Typhon Rodriguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aritz Rodriguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joan Ortiz in the 68th minute of the match. Typhon Rodriguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico Unzueta, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. When Joan Ortiz fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting's protests and gave Joan Ortiz a yellow card for diving instead.
