After 4 minutes, Eguzki Adán mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canfranc Estacion CF and the Puente Carrera players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Canfranc Estacion CF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Puente Carrera:s goal. After a rather tough play, Canfranc Estacion CF's Mario Guijarro got a free kick in the 8th minute. Marino Etxeberria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saturnin Contratas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santiago Teruel in the 14th minute. Puente Carrera's Nastasio Alabern played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mergildo Valdivia in the 19th minute of play. Mergildo Valdivia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogelio Irureta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marino Etxeberria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Saturnin Contratas came out and tried to block the shot, but Marino Etxeberria slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 35th minute. Puente Carrera's supporters rose to their feet, but Santiago Teruel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saturnin Contratas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mergildo Valdivia in the 45th minute of play forced Puente Carrera's goalkeeper Nastasio Alabern to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Teruel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpected shot in the 97th minute by Rogelio Irureta got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Puente Carrera were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
