Nacho Blazquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lain Manzano hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Orlando Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saul Babia in the 19th minute of play. Orlando Moreno was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Normando Abril capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Normando Abril really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 28 minutes of play, U.D. Cerdanyola's Normando Abril made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Orlando Moreno was left in no man's land by his defense there! Orlando Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Babia in the 39th minute of the match. Leon Rua charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leon Rua the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of U.D. Cerdanyola booed when San Bartolome De Los Montes CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Rua didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute of the match, Saul Babia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Orlando Moreno saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saul Babia was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Nacho Blazquez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Moncho Barba. That made the score 2-1 in the 54 minute of play. If Saul Babia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Normando Abril, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. San Bartolome De Los Montes CD's Nacho Blazquez got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to U.D. Cerdanyola getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Saul Babia hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Nacho Blazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saul Babia in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlando Moreno saved San Bartolome De Los Montes CD from getting behind. Normando Abril fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Moreno having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Normando Abril's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orlando Moreno was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After having played for 90 minutes, Normando Abril managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U.D. Cerdanyola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Normando Abril was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute, Lain Manzano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in San Bartolome De Los Montes CD's zone, Normando Abril stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Moreno came out of the goal and Normando Abril tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. U.D. Cerdanyola had won after a very even match.
