Caballeros's Xalvador Alabern played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antero Batuecas in the 4th minute of play. Xalvador Alabern took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antero Batuecas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Piorno Tormes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulin Acha struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Victoriano Feliu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caballeros. When Caballeros's Albino Murcia in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Avellanar UD's goalie prevented a goal. Paulin Acha scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victoriano Feliu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Xalvador Alabern showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aresti Elias in the 30th minute of the match. Paulin Acha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avellanar UD's goalkeeper Victoriano Feliu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antero Batuecas in the 39th minute of play forced Caballeros's goalkeeper Xalvador Alabern to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Antero Batuecas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Caballeros's Xalvador Alabern. Xalvador Alabern was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antero Batuecas to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Avellanar UD booed when Caballeros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romualdo Viejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Paulin Acha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caballeros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Peru Morales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Feliu having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nono Amer during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Caballeros's Nono Amer got a free kick in the 74th minute. Avellanar UD's Martino Leon got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Paulin Acha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Victoriano Feliu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Enzo Quevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Paulin Acha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caballeros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulin Acha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulin Acha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Caballeros's Albino Murcia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victoriano Feliu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Caballeros's Arturo Flores seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arturo Flores the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Caballeros protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arturo Flores had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the match had been going on for 96 minutes, Avellanar UD's Martino Leon got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Xalvador Alabern. For all the effort they put into the match, the Avellanar UD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Caballeros.
