After having played for 13 minutes, Jerico Treviño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Athletic club de Basauri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerico Treviño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Athletic club de Basauri's Anacleto Caminero got a free kick in the 19th minute. Tulio Moya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerico Treviño in the 22nd minute of play. Valerio Guijarro kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. A collision led to Athletic club de Basauri getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Anacleto Caminero hit a great ball. Mesa Del Mar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Athletic club de Basauri the free kick. The supporters of Mesa Del Mar booed when Athletic club de Basauri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ion Galdamez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Epicuro Companys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Idacio Palanques, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Arnas Domenech received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Epicuro Companys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Athletic club de Basauri's Nastasio Mas got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Espartaco Carrasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 84th minute, Mesa Del Mar's Arnas Domenech ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Epicuro Companys. Epicuro Companys yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mesa Del Mar's goalkeeper Tulio Moya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Athletic club de Basauri's Nastasio Mas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tulio Moya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Tulio Urquijo kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. 99 minutes into the match, Mesa Del Mar's Idacio Palanques broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
