If Angelino Campomanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alcorcón AFC's Rainerio Abancens got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Orlondo Cuadrado made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Amador Lopez sent off a good shot on target. Zuberoa Millán hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute Macerio Cabrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlondo Cuadrado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in PALMITAL C.F.'s zone, Bernat Cartagena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Ziguenza came out of the goal and Bernat Cartagena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santiago Ziguenza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rainerio Abancens, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Macerio Cabrera to make the kick off. Santiago Ziguenza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernat Cartagena in the 59th minute of play. Amador Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlondo Cuadrado having to interfere. Nagoi Dellasierra hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The supporters of PALMITAL C.F. booed when Alcorcón AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zuberoa Millán didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Amador Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot. PALMITAL C.F.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Amador Lopez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlondo Cuadrado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Alcorcón AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Macerio Cabrera came free, but Orlondo Cuadrado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santiago Ziguenza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernat Cartagena in the 80th minute of play. Rainerio Abancens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlondo Cuadrado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Macerio Cabrera, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Santiago Ziguenza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernat Cartagena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
