After having played for 6 minutes, Adolfo Ziguenza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capmany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Ziguenza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Heriberto Barba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Poli Arraz having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guido Serrano's late challenge caught a Capmany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guido Serrano helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cangas De Onis CF getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Guido Serrano hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaias Dellasierra during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 32 minutes into the game, one of Cangas De Onis CF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The nice shot from Guido Serrano in the 37thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but René Moya had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The supporters of Cangas De Onis CF booed when Capmany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xurxo Sevilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. René Moya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rey Pastor, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, Xurxo Sevilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Capmany's Poli Arraz threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adolfo Ziguenza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 66 minutes into the game, Cangas De Onis CF's Guido Serrano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. René Moya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Adolfo Ziguenza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. René Moya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rey Pastor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan-Alfredo Hernandez charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan-Alfredo Hernandez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Poli Arraz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Guido Serrano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. René Moya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cangas De Onis CF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
