In the 8th minute, Leizarraga Ramiréz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nel Orozco. The goal made the score 1-0. Jose-Juan Leseduarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Canturri in the 16th minute of play. Leizarraga Ramiréz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 played minutes F.C Palencia got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Canturri. F.C Palencia's Nel Orozco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leizarraga Ramiréz in the 20th minute of play. If Pascal Casas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enol Tormes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jose-Juan Leseduarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enol Tormes in the 29th minute of the match. Benvide Valdés, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. El Labradorcico's Leizarraga Ramiréz got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Leizarraga Ramiréz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nel Orozco was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
