The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmacio Machado in the 3rd minute of play forced Escobar CD's goalkeeper Lauren Zapata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Escobar CD's Cristofer Rossello got a free kick in the 4th minute. If Dalmacio Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lico Castelao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicasio Barrios, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Beltxe Garzon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lico Castelao having to interfere. A collision led to Alpandeire getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Altzibar Sampil hit a great ball. Alpandeire's Lico Castelao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Barrios in the 13th minute of play. Lauren Zapata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dalmau Valdés's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. When Manuel Santander fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alpandeire's protests and gave Manuel Santander a yellow card for diving instead. Manuel Santander kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beltxe Garzon got free with Lico Castelao in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Isandro Solana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alpandeire's Lico Castelao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Barrios in the 37th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Nicasio Barrios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lico Castelao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Alpandeire's zone, Nicasio Barrios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lico Castelao came out of the goal and Nicasio Barrios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Nicasio Barrios took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lico Castelao to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicasio Barrios stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dalmau Valdés could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Lauren Zapata made a huge save. During the 55th minute of the match Cristofer Rossello completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cristofer Rossello a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Cristofer Rossello kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Cruz Alonso was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalmau Valdés got free with Lauren Zapata in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isandro Solana during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Alpandeire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isandro Solana to maneuver through the defense. Escobar CD's Beltxe Garzon got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Dalmau Valdés managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alpandeire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmau Valdés was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Altzibar Sampil fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alpandeire's protests and gave Altzibar Sampil a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Altzibar Sampil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isandro Solana got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 84th match minute, Alpandeire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isandro Solana to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute of the match Epicuro Dulce shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lico Castelao showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 87th minute, Cesario Companys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dalmau Valdés received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Lauren Zapata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dalmau Valdés sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 96th minute of the match Manuel Santander completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Manuel Santander a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 97 played minutes Alpandeire got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Santander. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Escobar CD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alpandeire had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
